I think when you're visiting Long Beach, you need to eat elsewhere. Christy's is just another in a long list of mediocre Long Beach restaurants. Christy's has some good ideas but very poor execution. If you really want to experience excellent food and service, take a little side trip to LA and go to Patina or Campanile. Christy's is not worth the money that they charge. A VERY good restaurant in Long Beach is Fleur De Lis. Excellent food, friendly service, and a great outdoor dining area. Is follow up to post by RJW ... Christy's is one of my absolute favorites in the Long Beach area. Outstanding wine list, incredibly friendly service (our waiter Tim was hilarious!) and, best of all, incredibly good food. From the grilled radicchio to the osso buco (my dinner date had lamb chops-- also great!) to the crème brulée-- all wonderful. Worth the trip and well worth the money! -- 3/3/2003 12:55:30 PM
